Siegburg / LEUNIG. Networks are not the only solution. With the 4Print2 printer
sharer from LEUNIG, four PCs can share two printers. This relieves the
network from additional data traffic and eliminates the problems often
associated with network printers. From the users' point of view, it is
as if each user had exclusive use of two printers. Unique among printer
sharers, 4Print2 allows printers to be selected from within applications
under all Windows operating systems, including Windows 2000 and Windows
ME
With 4Print2,
up to four PC workstations can be connected to two printers, allowing
convenient handling of print jobs. Standard printer cables up to a length
of 20 metres can be used to connect the printers. This has several advantages:
The printers
can be selected from within any Windows application, as if they were
connected directly to two parallel printer ports at the PC.The 4Print2
driver interacts closely with the Windows Print Manager, which removes
the need for special software and for selecting the printers manually.
Because
print jobs are no longer sent through the network, 4Print2 also reduces
data traffic across the network. This relieves network strain, freeing
the bandwidth of the corporate network for more effective use by other
tasks and applications.
Simultaneous
access from four PCs to two printers, combined with parallel processing
of print jobs, increases productivity.
Because
4Print2 can be used with existing standard printer cables, there is
no need to reroute cables or even buy expensive special-purpose cables.
The use of the Windows Print Manager simplifies installation and ensures
continuous, problem-free operation.
