Compared to individual cables (2 x PS/2 and 1 x VGA), KVM combination cables have the advantage of providing a much clearer, tidier cable installation. The combination cables are highly flexible and no thicker than a standard monitor cable. Unlike in normal combination cables, (three cables welded together), the dual outer screen also surrounds the PS/2 cables. Furthermore, the important signal wires of the PS/2 cables have been doubled in number, resulting in a significant increase in the possible length compared to conventional PS/2 cables.
