SmartViewWorldMatrix KVM switch with IP access and server reboot |

|
For the first time, SmartViewWorld unites server administration through proven multi-user KVM technology, modern CAT5 interface technology and IP network or modem access in a single device. In addition, crashed servers can be remotely rebooted by switching their power supply off and on again. This, too, is done through the network or modem using the same, standardized user interface. With SmartViewWorld, administrators can now control servers down to BIOS level and even restart them from home or the road. Even if the complete network is down, the affected components can be accessed and restored through a dial-up connection. Key features
Local connections (KVM and CAT5)SmartViewWorld has three KVM connections for "conventional" user consoles (VGA/PS2) with a cable length up to 20 metres. In addition, two further user consoles can be located up to 200 metres away through a CAT5 cable. These consoles share their access with two of the KVM consoles. Shared access is controlled automatically and transparently, being noticeable only during periods of intensive usage. At up to 1900 x 1440, the screen resolution for the KVM connections is outstanding, while the CAT5 consoles have an impressive maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. Remote IP accessIP access is through a 10/100 Ethernet link and an external modem (with automatic changeover). The user interface is provided by any Java-capable browser, so that no additional client-side software is needed. User convenience and a high level of security are ensured with SSL V2/V3 encryption and up to 256 user profiles with individual passwords. The maximum screen resolution is 1280 x 1024 pixels at 75 Hz, and all standard VGA and VESA modes - both graphic and text - are supported. Remote RebootConnected to the serial interface, ePowerSwitch M/S series devices let you switch up to 32 servers on and off through SmartViewWorld 's on-screen menu, either in local access mode or remotely through network or modem. You can also switch groups of devices at the same time, for example a server and its associated RAIDs. SecurityLocal access to SmartViewWorld is password-protected, while IP access is protected with an additional login procedure. Numerous user profiles with associated custom settings and access rights ensure that users can access only those servers that they are authorized to control. Compatibility
Flexible cascadingOne of SmartViewWorld's special strengths is its cascading capability with multi-user access, which provides full support even for larger, complex applications. In most cases, the less expensive SmartView xPro units are recommended for cascading applications, but SmartViewWorld can also be used, for example if additional IP access to a specific server group is needed.
