SmartView xPro is a KVM (keyboard-video-mouse) switch designed for the most critical and demanding applications. With a single unit, up to four operator consoles can simultaneously access 16 servers. In all, six operator stations can be connected. The devices can be cascaded to provide a connection capacity of up to 512 servers, all centrally controllable through SmartView xPro's on-screen display. Password protection, administrator profiles and user-definable key combinations are standard on all SmartView xPro units, as is the screen resolution of 1900 x 1440 at cable lengths of up to 20 metres. |

A new feature is the capability of connecting additional operator consoles through CAT5 cables at distances of up to 200 metres (with a screen resolution of up to 1600 x 1280). Mutual interlocking is through timeout. |

Ports and interfaces
To maximize flexibility and minimize cabling costs, SmartView uses standard connectors. The use of high-quality integrated interface modules and quality standard cables allows distances of up to 10 metres for the operator stations and 20 metres for the servers. |

Flexible cascading
Its cascading capability with multi-user access is one of SmartView xPro's special strengths, providing full support even for larger, complex applications.

The example shows one of many possible configurations. The link cables are shown in green. The four lower operator stations can access all (35) servers: server group A can be accessed from all four lower operator stations at the same time; server group B is accessible from all operator stations (two at any one time); server group C can be accessed from three of the lower operator stations and from the additional upper station. |

The lower right operator station is connected with a CAT5 cable of up to 200 metres length and can therefore be located in a different room. It has the same functionality as the directly connected stations.
The intelligent functions of SmartView ensure that you always have a clear overview, even in complex layouts. To access a server, you do not have to know which substation or port it is connected to: simply select its name from a list on screen and you are automatically linked to it. If all lines are in use, a notification appears on screen and you are connected as soon as a line becomes available. SmartView xPro can be cascaded down to a depth of four levels.
New: ePowerSwitch control
This function lets you operate ePowerSwitch units through the SmartView interface to reboot any of up to 32 connected servers by interrupting their power supply. This feature is already implemented in SmartView World and will be available soon in SmartView xPro.
